Amazing trip from start to finish, every detail perfect. Every single interaction with resort staff is wonderful — it is very hard to single anyone out, but massive thanks to the dive guide for making diving so fun, educational and exciting. The restaurant staff were all fabulous, and special mention to the chef for the amazing cake to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary. Special mention also to the staff who made up our room with amazing towel art and decorations for our 26th, and the garden staff for perfect sand patterns and sand castles! The longhouse staff were so helpful, and the food was next level in the restaurant. Only our third trip here — can’t wait to bring our daughters next time!

Dear Wakatobi Team, once again we had a wonderful time with you. We enjoyed every dive, the attentive care from the dive assistants, the delicious food and the warm interactions. It is also lovely to see how many long-standing staff members work at the resort — a great sign from a guest’s perspective too. We were once again able to learn a great deal about the Wakatobi underwater world. It was fascinating what was discovered and shown to us, and with such patience to let us look at and photograph things along the way. The villa service was, as always, at the highest level. Thank you for the hospitality and hopefully see you soon.

We were on the Pelagian together from April 6–12 and really enjoyed it. The cabins are very spacious and well-appointed — we stayed in both the Deluxe and Standard cabins. There is plenty of storage space and the daybed is very practical. The dive sites were excellent and the service provided by the boat crew and guides was outstanding. The food was very good and the service throughout was always very attentive and friendly.

I have had a brilliant week here. All aspects of my stay have been first class, starting with the excellent, friendly, helpful staff in all areas — general staff, restaurant staff, diving staff, boat crew and also in Bali. The full dive equipment I rented was fine. The dive sites — I visited 17 during the 6 days of diving — were varied and very special, really beautiful. Our dive leader was super nice, helpful with the initial practicalities, guided us very competently, was knowledgeable of the sites and marine life and looked after us very well. I really cannot think of anything which could have been done to make the whole Wakatobi experience better!

The service was incredible.

Our dive guide did an outstanding job supporting my family in the best way — combining diving safety and entertainment, showing the beautiful nature and especially looking for the small creatures like special snails, fish, nudibranch and so on. Our snorkel guide also did an excellent job showing all the interesting sea life. What great service — honest friendliness fulfilling all of our special wishes throughout the day. The team are going the extra mile. Food taste was excellent — yummy yummy! We will definitely come back!

My experience at Wakatobi was wonderful. The experience was so unique because everything was catered to you at a personal level. Staff greeted you by name, which you don’t see anywhere else, and the dive plans were hand drawn with guides happy to personalise your experience so that you were more comfortable. The creature comforts were really appreciated — the patterns and designs printed in the sand were such a lovely touch and the towel animals after your room had been cleaned were very cute. All staff were very approachable and lovely to talk to. Our dive guide was incredibly kind and very experienced and really seemed to care about my experience and happiness at the resort — talking to us like a friend rather than a guide. All in all I’m so happy I came here. The house reef and diving is, in my opinion, unmatched to anywhere else I’ve been, and I’ve been all over the world. A huge thank you to all staff, guides, and everyone in between for making this a one-of-a-kind getaway.

Every day I saw a new fish or creature I had never seen before — for example, 3 volleyball-sized stonefish on the night dive at Waiti Ridge. Fantastic!

The dive boat crew was very helpful. The food was great and the staff attentive and helpful. The buggy drivers were friendly and responsive. The accommodations were amazing.

The food — what can we say. The best food at any dive resort. So many choices, some quite special and unique. Always something new every night at the side station. We always ate more than we should, but we can’t help it. Staff knew exactly what kind of drinks we like at each meal. We were always greeted by our names — very nice! We have been to many dive resorts around the world, but Wakatobi is clearly the best overall. Very professional and friendly dive master and boat crew, everything always very organised and on time. We love the hot chocolate and ginger tea after each dive, the hot towels, and the great snacks on the dive boats. The dive boat is very comfortable and large, making it easy to put on a wetsuit, and it’s a plus to have toilets on board. Our dive master was easily the best we have had — always checking on divers, knowing what we like to see and at what depth. We learned a lot about the creatures from her and she was a master at finding small creatures. All the dining room staff were very friendly and even made special dishes knowing where we were from.

We had an absolutely amazing time. Your staff are amazing! My entire family leaves Wakatobi so satisfied with our experience at the resort, on the boats, and in the water.

The dive team is excellent — very helpful and attentive. The tender drivers are very helpful and attentive as well. Very enjoyable experience! The stewards are very professional and great to deal with. The entire staff on the ship is so nice and courteous.
