Wakatobi exceeded every expectation. The resort is stunning but what made our stay truly unforgettable were our dive guides, Aswan and Gusde. Their knowledge of the reef, sharp eyes underwater and genuine warmth made every dive feel like a gift. We left with incredible memories. Thanks to both of them, we were able to capture a lot of what we saw on our camera as well— Great photos!! Highly recommend to anyone who loves world-class diving with world-class people.

The diving and accommodation cannot be beat. It is rare to find such beautiful and pristine dive sites paired with such amazing accommodations.

What a amazing trip! Employees are fantastic. Reflecting on the last 10 days, the amount and diversity of sea life we have seen is beyond belief. Psychedelic corals, mating mandarin fish, pygmy seahorses, pink frog fish, and peacock mantis. I saw everything I wanted to see and more!

This is our second stay on Pelagian and at Wakatobi Resort. We returned because the diving is spectacular and the level of service is unparalleled. Diving from Pelagian is so easy that four dives per day is manageable—everything is carefully thought out and well organized. The variety and portion sizes are right, so you never feel overfed. A special shout out to our dive masters and our boat driver, who found great underwater creatures and delivered us safely back, respectively. The staff made certain we had everything we needed, and the Pelagian ran smoothly. Highest regards to all!

At the resort, all the staff worked hard to address us by name each time they met us. Nowhere else in the world have we seen such attentive staff. Our dive masters were focused on keeping us safe underwater and making sure we (and another couple) were at ease. One, especially, was very good at spotting tiny shrimp, crabs, and nudibranchs and making sure we saw them for photography. Her joy of diving was obvious and infectious.

We would definitely recommend Wakatobi Resort to anyone who wants awesome diving and top-tier service. We hope to return again!

One other thing: we love the restaurant at the resort. There is such a variety of dishes, and many come on small plates so you can taste a wide array of new dishes without overeating. It’s like a tapas menu for every meal! The fruit is so fresh and ripe, and the salads are unique and flavorful. Your chefs (both at the resort and on Pelagian) are treasures!

We were spoilt from the moment we arrived from the wonderful, Thoughtful, staff, delicious food, incredible service on the boats and resort, to the world class reefs.

I have had a brilliant week here. All aspects of my stay have been first class, starting with the excellent, friendly, helpful staff in all areas — general staff, restaurant staff, diving staff, boat crew, and also in Bali. The full dive equipment I rented was fine. The dive sites (I visited 17 during the 6 days of diving) were varied and very special — really beautiful. Our dive guide was super nice and helpful with the initial practicalities of getting set up properly with weights, etc. She guided us very competently, was knowledgeable of the sites and marine life, and looked after us very well — a big thank you to her for making the diving so enjoyable. I really cannot think of anything which could have been done to make the whole Wakatobi experience better! Thank you.

It was a wonderful time here in Wakatobi. The service was excellent. The food was varied and healthy. I think it’s good that there was also local and regional cuisine. The diving is very well organized. The warm towels after each dive— excellent. All in all, a classy, 5-star stay. More service is impossible!

An excellent experience. Surpassed all our expectations. Food and service were outstanding. Each meal was unique, fresh and always delicious. Our guide was phenomenal. He made us feel safe and encouraged our independence while free diving. He had a deep knowledge of all the fish and coral and was able to spot interesting creatures continuously. He was an absolute treasure as our guide this week. Our bungalow was very comfortable and kept very clean every day. We loved seeing which towel creation we were coming back to each day. It was our privilege to witness such beauty all while staying at a 5-star resort.

I have so much respect for the great conservation efforts and long term view of Wakatobi Resort! We are so impressed by all the staff, all the guides and everyone involved. What a remarkable stay, we are in awe! An absolute jewel! You put a passion into passion project. Bravo!

Time and time again Wakatobi amazes us. Each year everything is better at the resort and we enjoy our time or vacation. In particular are all the wonderful employees and their welcoming and friendly attitudes. The food is excellent and accommodations are fantastic. The dive operations are amazing and our guides were the best, all dive team is amazing. Most importantly the reefs were amazing and your program(s) keep the environment pristine are extraordinary. At Wakatobi we experienced the best service ever. The crew on boat and underwater are really super. Group of divers and snorkelers are very small, that’s good. The workers in restaurant are very kind, accommodating and attentive. The cleaning of the bungalows is first class. The food was good. The gardeners are trying to remove the waste as quick as possible. Under the gardeners there is someone artist, looking the buildings from sand octopus, etc.  Wakatobi is famous for a reason— I will recommend!

It’s hard not to gush when talking about Wakatobi so I will keep it short: a garden earth with delight and a diver’s paradise.

Wakatobi is a special jewel! Please don’t change anything! Accommodations are very comfortable and well designed. The quality and preparation of meals were in the fine dining category. Hotel, resort, diving staff were exceptionally helpful, knowledgeable, and genuinely gracious.
