We have traveled the world in our 50 years of marriage, 34 years in the military, and always been treated well – but never as well as we experienced at Wakatobi Awesome service, food and diving. “Without a doubt, Pelagian and Wakatobi Resort is the finest live-aboard, resort, and diving operation we’ve ever dealt with! The health of the reef, and marine life in general is jaw-droppingly amazing! A college English professor with a thesaurus would run out of superlatives to describe the staff, service, accommodations, and food at Wakatobi. Our dive guides always made sure our gear was working, made sure we were together and safe and were excellent at finding nudibranchs (our favorite!). The boat crews took care of our post-dive needs with warm face towels and day bath towels. The kitchen staff made interesting varieties of food options three meals per day. The wait staff addressed us by name each time they saw us, as did the front office staff. The housekeeping staff neatly folded the disarranged clothes we left on chairs and the bed, and we loved the towel animals on our bed each day. The groundskeepers were always polite and worked hard to rake debris aside and keep up the ingenious designs on the footpaths. The masseuses were highly skilled and capable, and our massages were a real treat. The beachfront bungalow we stayed in was a terrific space, and we particularly enjoyed the outside showers. Finally, we particularly appreciated the Bali Staff, who were so helpful in orienting us to local transportation and gathering us in preparation for our flight to the resort. So many little things add up to an incredible overall experience. Thank you for taking such good care of us. It was an unforgettable trip.”
