What a great place to come back to. It’s a place to relax, dive, and explore while receiving excellent service throughout the resort. The diving is just tremendous and safe. The dive guides are both knowledgeable and experienced. The spa is worth a few visits. The food was delicious. The staff go over the top to make you feel comfortable and accommodate your needs. I came here for the wellness, diving, thinking, exercise, and exploring, and I found all of that with exceptional service. When you come here, you will truly understand why it is such a great place to come back to for so many customers. Thank you, Wakatobi!

Once again, the staff at Wakatobi have made me feel like royalty and a member of the family, especially as a returning guest. This is such a special place. The staff are so welcoming, and this comment includes the restaurant staff, the hard-working boat crew and dive helpers, and also the coconut harvester. Compliments to the towel statue creators — the animals are getting more and more elaborate. Special thank you to a staff member for helping me purchase a new strobe, and likewise to the Bali office for organizing this. I was totally taken by surprise with my birthday celebration. In fact, I did book at the last minute and used the excuse of my 65th birthday to justify the trip. Because I am leaving the day before, I did not expect anything at all, let alone cake and a gift. This was a very generous gesture and one that further cements Wakatobi as my favourite dive resort. One of the things I noticed was the excellent training of the dive crew. They work with great care and precision, and they are really good at anticipating a guest’s needs. I have a suggestion for your consideration. It’s controversial and you’ve probably been through all the pros and cons before, but would you consider offering guests who are here more than one week the opportunity to change dive guides? This is most definitely not a criticism of any staff member in any way. Having said that, thank you to whoever had the genius idea to put me in the same group as other guests. We had the best time together, and it made this trip 150% more special. Keep doing what you’re doing. This place is amazing in every way.

As expected, everything was exemplary, whether we are talking about the staff in Bali, the staff in Wakatobi, or the meals and diving staff. Everything was superb. A staff member was an important part of our experience, being so helpful, considerate, and a joy to be with. The fact that we can leave dive equipment here and it comes out of storage in pristine condition is wonderful. Added to this is the fact that Wakatobi is just part of the travel experience. We can leave surplus bags in Bali, which is incredible. The residence where we had a welcome reception, along with a glorious dining experience one night, confirmed that the residence is the epitome of luxury in how it was built and finished. We have already booked next year’s trip.

Our first visit! Reception at Bali Airport a few days before transit to Wakatobi was an unexpected, pleasant surprise. We were led by the hand to rendezvous with our booked transport. No hassle whatsoever.

The day of departure from Bali was an experience of a grand scale. From check-in to ticketing to breakfast, there was an army of Wakatobi staff taking care of everything. On top of that, a senior staff member was there to welcome us.

The resort was modern, well laid out, and our villa by the water’s edge was comfortable and well equipped, not to mention the magnificent view across the water to the neighboring island. The meals were top-notch. I’ve never seen so many innovative salads and entrées. Main dishes spanned from East to West in copious quantities. The dive center crew was professional and helpful. The dive boats are large and well equipped. The small dive group of four or fewer was the normal practice. In addition, divers needing more help were given personal attention.

The reef is one of the best I have seen, if not the best. It’s wonderful to witness lush and healthy coral of all kinds, as well as vibrant marine life.

One of the most amazing things that caught our attention was how rubbish-free the dive sites were. I saw only three pieces of rubbish in six days of diving, all of which were removed by the dive crew.

It is truly a trip to remember. I am certainly looking forward to visiting again in the hopefully not too distant future.

For us, it was the perfect vacation. We were very happy with the room service, the service in the restaurant, and on the dive boats. It would be unfair to name a specific person because all of the resort staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We would like to thank a staff member for sharing chili recipes and another staff member for expertise in the underwater world. We had everything we could have wished for here — a vacation in paradise.

In short, thank you for everything. We came across Wakatobi two years ago in an article in a diving magazine, and since then we have been eager to travel here. As a result, our expectations were high, and they were exceeded in every aspect. The nature, the dive sites, the resort, and the incredibly friendly, caring, and attentive staff were outstanding. Our dive guides were exceptional. You could not ask for better dive guides. They showed us incredible things, always made us feel completely safe, and gave us so much fun. Superb experience even for snorkeling beginners. Excellent service and very friendly. Wakatobi came highly recommended and it lived up to expectations. We will be back.

Everyone knows exactly what to do and goes the extra mile. Accommodation was high standard. We loved the outdoor shower. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant offered a small but always changing delicious buffet. The service team and kitchen staff were always helpful.

Second trip here and even better than the first. All the staff were so welcoming and it was wonderful to see familiar faces. Our snorkeling guides were amazing and a perfect match for us. They quickly learned what we were capable of in the water and how we like to snorkel, giving us time and space while also pointing out highlights. We felt so safe in the water and tried the night snorkel this time, which was amazing and something we will do again. We have snorkeled all over the world, but Wakatobi is the place we keep coming back to.
